LEASING SPECIALIST

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Leasing Specialist to join our dynamic property management team.

As a Leasing Specialist, you will be responsible for effectively marketing and leasing single-family residential properties, ensuring tenant satisfaction, and maximizing occupancy rates.

The ideal candidate has exceptional customer service skills, a strong background in sales and negotiation, and a thorough understanding of the property management industry.

RESPONSIBILITES

  • Manage the entire leasing process from marketing to lease signing, ensuring a seamless and positive experience for prospective tenants
  • Conduct property tours and showcase available units to prospective tenants, highlighting the unique features and benefits of each property
  • Screen and qualify potential tenants through comprehensive background checks, credit evaluations, and rental history verification
  • Collaborate with property owners and management to establish rental rates and lease terms that are competitive in the market
  • Negotiate lease agreements, addressing tenant concerns and ensuring compliance with company policies and legal regulations
  • Prepare and review lease documents, ensuring accuracy and completeness
  • Coordinate move-in and move-out processes, conducting property inspections and documenting any damages or maintenance needs
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local market trends, competitor activities, and industry best practices
  • Provide exceptional customer service to tenants, addressing inquiries, concerns, and maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Current Real Estate License in Iowa
  • Two years experience as a Leasing Specialist, Leasing Agent, or similar role in the property management industry
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills with a track record of meeting or exceeding leasing targets
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with prospective and existing tenants
  • Knowledge of fair housing laws, lease agreements, and property management regulations
  • Proficient in using property management software, online listing platforms, and customer relationship management (CRM) tools
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of self-motivation and initiative
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
